Areas of Focus
The Problem: Systemic Pitfalls Amid a Chronic Illness Epidemic
A Chronic Disease Crisis: We stand at a crucial crossroads in public health, confronted with an unprecedented epidemic of chronic diseases and declining fertility. In the United States, more than half the population now suffers from at least one chronic illness, profoundly impacting quality of life and accounting for the vast majority of healthcare costs. While conventional allopathic medicine has excelled in treating acute issues and contributed many advancements to society, it lags woefully behind in understanding or treating chronic health problems. We have more labels for sets of symptoms than ever before, yet are left without explanation of underlying causes. Despite an all-time high in pharmaceutical interventions, our society has never been more sick. This paradox signals deeper systemic issues within centralized medicine and an incomplete understanding of our biology.
The Limitations of Centralization: The centralization of our healthcare system induces multiple challenges, including escalating costs, vulnerability to corruption, misaligned incentive structures, and a lack of personalized support or education for patients. This centralized model often prioritizes profit over patient care, focusing on symptom management rather than addressing root causes of illness. The result is that patients become trapped in a cycle of dependency, placing a staggering financial burden on individuals and families.
The Exclusion of Biophysics: Conventional medicine primarily operates within the realm of biochemistry. Chemistry, however, is built on physics. A deeper exploration into the foundational principles of biophysics reveals how factors such as light, water, and magnetism create the conditions in which biochemical reactions occur. Focusing on biochemistry is looking at the downstream effects of biophysics. By overlooking the biophysics of the body, such as its electrical properties, the impact of circadian rhythms, and the role of exclusion zone water, conventional medicine often misses crucial factors in disease prevention and treatment.
Overlooking Mitochondrial Health: Mainstream medicine typically focuses on human DNA in disease analysis and treatment; however, it is the distinct mitochondrial genome that often plays a more critical role, as they are far more sensitive and responsive to environmental factors. Many modern diseases, though diverse in their classifications, can be boiled down to metabolic dysfunction rooted in poor mitochondrial health. The more defective our mitochondria become in any given tissue, the more likely it is that disease will manifest in that tissue. Therefore, supporting the health of our ancient symbiotic life partners offers a foundational, first principles strategy to optimize wellness and address a broad range of modern diseases.
My Guiding Principles
My approach is rooted in a set of core principles that define how I view and support my own health and the health of my clients:
First Principles Thinking: I approach complex health challenges by breaking them down into their most fundamental components. This method helps identify and address root causes rather than rely solely on symptom management.
Biophysics-Based Approach: A first-principles approach necessitates a deeper exploration—looking beyond biochemistry, which examines life at the molecular level, and into the more foundational realm of biophysics, where we study life’s mechanics at the atomic and subatomic scale.
Alignment with Nature: Natural systems are the most resilient and regenerative systems on the planet. Recognizing the wisdom in nature’s design, I focus on restoring connection to its laws, rhythms, and cycles to support and sustain health and vitality.
Decentralization & Sovereignty: Natural systems are decentralized systems (think mycelial networks). I believe everyone has the right to a direct, personal connection to the healing forces of nature without the need for centralized intermediaries or the cultivation of profit-driven dependencies.
Education & Informed Consent: I believe knowledge is empowerment. My goal is to share information that helps you make informed decisions about your own health and life. My love for learning fuels this work, and I hope to spark that same curiosity in you.
Epigenetics & Environment: I emphasize the role of epigenetics, recognizing that environmental and lifestyle factors exert greater influence on the expression of health or disease than genetics alone. This understanding reframes the narrative from one of genetic determinism to one of empowerment in shaping how our biology is expressed.
Innate Healing Intelligence: I believe in the body’s inherent ability to heal and sustain health when given the right conditions. My role is to help you cultivate a lifestyle and environment that activate this healing potential.
Bioindividuality: I recognize that every person is unique. My recommendations are tailored to your individual biology, history, and environment — ensuring that what we design together works for you.
Holistic, Systems-Level Analysis: I view health through a holistic lens, considering the body as an interconnected system rather than a collection of isolated parts. This perspective allows us to address physical, mental, and emotional health more comprehensively and effectively.
